A popular excursion on a Sunday is to visit a local Brocante market (flea market) and albeit Montreuil-Bellay was playing host this weekend we decided to ring the changes and visit the Brocante at Les Rosiers sur Loire, a picture postcard town set along the edge of the Loire river.
In her element to potter around the Brocante while Mama searched for ‘finds’ was Constance whose eagerness to touch everything did hinder somewhat!
Augustin grew bored after a short while and decided it best to assist Papa at the Boulangerie, passing the time eating freshly baked baguettes and sipping Orangina.
Editors note: Have you visited this market, or one like it, in France?

Lovely stuff, Sarah-Jane. We stopped off at Rosier on our journey from St Nazaire to Sully-sur-Loire for the new book, and found it an enchanting place. The landlord of the bar by the bridge was most interesting, and I said to my wife that the place seemed to contain al the virtues of what attracts us so abbout France. Keep up the good work…
