It was one of the biggest events for Plestin FC on Sunday, as they have been having a good run in the “Coupe de Bretagne” and had drawn Quimper first team at home.
Quimper are 6 divisions higher than Plestin, so it was a prestigious match. There were a couple of hundred people in attendance.
Neither of my boys were playing as Xav is in the B team, and Bas attends training irregularly. In the event, they chose 9 defenders, as they played 1.9.1. The goal keeper had an outstanding match, and it wasn’t until after the hour that Quimper scored their first goal.
The main difference between the 2 teams was fitness, and Quimper made Plestin look laboured towards the end, as their superior stamina levels won them the match. There was a good ambiance and a complete hush when they scored their first goal.
