Auray is a charming small town on the edge of the Golfe de Morbihan, near Carnac and the yachting marina of La Trinité-sur-mer in Brittany. It was the major Breton shipbuilding area in the 18th Century. The pretty port of Saint Goustan, popular with tourists, is attached to Auray and has many pubs, bars and restaurants as well as an 18th Century stone bridge.
