Chris Slade describes the son et lumiere presentation at the abbey of Bon Repos called "Le Pays de Conomor" in Brittany, which takes place during the first two weeks of August.
With much of Saumur cordoned off to traffic for this weekend’s festivities, Friday’s deadline deliveries were unable to reach us and albeit this wasn’t quite to plan, there was much to do in preparation for the opening of Bistrot Les Tontons on Tuesday 05 July 2011.
Gérald and I viewed the then called Café La Grange back in March, where upon first sight it resembled the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
Since signing on 21st June, the future Bistrot Les Tontons has undergone a vast transformation.
For those of you who know Gérald from Domaine de la Paleine, you will be delighted to learn that he will continue to represent the Domaine.
Furthermore, the wines from Domaine de la Paleine will be available to enjoy during lunch and dinner and can be purchased directly from la cave at Bistrot Les Tontons.
In addition, Loire Valley Uncorked will continue to provide privately conducted wine tasting tours at the Domaine de la Paleine, and,
NEW for 2012 – wine tastings & river boat trips on the Loire river held on Domaine de la Paleine’s own private “la toue”, river boat.

My wife & I will be Saumur for 2 nights in Novembre 13 & 14, 2011. I read about Bistrot Les Tontons at tripadvisor.com. We would like to have dinner at Tontons but I can’t find a menu anywhere online. Can you direct me to a website that has a menu? Merci beaucoup.
